Apple Computers are Best!

Updated on September 5, 2013

Why Apple Computers are better than Microsoft systems.

It is time to buy another Mac. I have suffered with my Windows XP system for the past year, and I am tired of all of the problems ( security, memory errors, slow response, etc.) with this operating system and hardware. I now use a Mac-Mini as my main desktop platform. Yeah!

I have had to support Windows and Macs at both work and at home, and the Macs are more intuitive to use, more secure and do not crash like the Windows boxes.

There are free anti-virus tools available for Mac OS X

Why Macs are Better than PCs!

Overall, I think I left Mac because I have to provide more support to Windows users and using a windows system would give me more experience. Unfortunately, it also gave me all of the pain of having to rely on the Windows Operating system to accomplish work.

Mac or PC? - Know why you are buying...need a game machine or a work machine?

Macs can now run the Windows Operating System if you buy an Intel based Macintosh.

Apple Products I have owned.

Hackintosh - Go PC! not really..

Yes you can build your own Macintosh system with off the shelf parts.

Apple Security

Mac OS X is based upon BSD UNIX which is argued a much more secure architecture than the Windows platform but applications do created risk. Vendors are starting to make products to help users feel more comfortable with the security of their Apple system.

Apple Air at Amazon

A thin and light portable Mac would be nice. The MacBook Air is getting a lot of attention. I better start saving right away.

The smallest Macs around. - Mac Minis

Mac minis are very compact systems which may fit your needs and are the lowest price Macs available. I now use one as my main desktop system.

MacBook Pro - The Best

The MacBook Pro series of products is the top of the line for portables.

How much memory?

iPhones on Amazon - Get an Iphone they Rock!

I, along with most people love the iPhone and can't imagine my life without one.

iPads are great

give up your day planner for an iPad.

iPods! - I have upgraded to an iPod Touch for the car and an iPhone for myself

Conclusions

I can now say my last computer purchase was a Mac-Mini. It is nice to be caught up with the real world. My previous purchase was a Dell E510 (1GB RAM, 3.0Ghz) because it was on sale and much cheaper that the Macintosh systems on sale at the time. But if you are price sensitive, remember to add on all of the other security tools you will need to secure the Windows operating system to the system price. The current Macintosh operating system, OS X, is based upon BSD UNIX, and much more secure than windows. I purchased the PC mainly to use for playing games. I have tried to use the PC for day to day activities over the past year, but I was not happy with my experience.
